Day 1 : Arrival
at PHNOM PENH
Arrive
at Phnom Penh capital of Cambodia. Reception at the airport,
transfer to the hotel and first discovery of the city with in
particular, visit of the Royal Palace and the national Museum
of archaeology, according to the arrival time.
Day 2 : PHNOM
PENH/KOMPONG CHAM
Departure
for Kompong Cham, situated at the edge of the Mekong. Visit of
the Vat Nokhor temple, of the 12th century. Crossing of the Mekong
and visit of the forests of Heveas and the harvest and transformation
of Latex. Night in Kompong Cham.
Day 3:
KOMPONG THOM/SAMBOR PREI KUK Road
towards Kompong Thom, and Sambor Prei Kuk, the ancient capital
of the Chenla's kingdom. Discovery of the site builts by the
king Ishanavarman the 1st, dating of the pre-angkorian period
(7th and 8th centuries). Dozens temples in the forest. Night
in Kompong Thom.
Day 4
: KOMPONG THOM / SIEM REAP
Departure
by the road for Siem reap where is the Angkor's mythical site.
After installation in the hotel, we will attend the sunset since
Phnom Bakend, and outside sight of Angkor Vat temple, very well
lightened at the end of afternoon.
Day 5:
SIEM REAP (ANGKOR)
The morning,
discovery of Angkor Thom's sites : the temple-mountain of Bayon,
the Baphuon, the Terrace of the Leper King, the ancient Royal
Palace, and the Terrace of the Elephants.
Afternoon, visit of Angkor Vat "the city which became a
pagoda".
Day 6 : SIEM
REAP (ANGKOR).
The morning,
visit of the pre-angkorians (9th century) Roluos temples: the
Bakong, the Prah Ko, and Lolei followed by the visit of the most
surprising temples of the whole Angkor's site, the Ta Prohm,
the Ta keo, lost in a luxuriant vegetation, as well as the small
temples of Neak Pean, Preah Khan,

and Thomanon, and the big ponds (the Baray)
Day 7 : SIEM
REAP (BANTEAY SREI)
The morning,
excursion in Banteay Srei 's temple, the "Town of Women",
a jewel of pink wills completely sculptured, dedicated to Shiva
and built in the 10th century by the king Jayavarman V, in passing
by Prasat Kravan's temple built in the year 921. The afternoon,
visit of the Baray Oriental sites built by Rajendravarman : Banteay
Kdey, Pre Rup, Preasat Khleang, Oriental Mebon. Discovery of
the construction sites school (Les Chantiers Ecoles) where live
again the Khmer traditions.
Day 8:
PREK TOAL (TONLE SAP Lake)
Day of
excursion on the Tonle Sap lake towards Prek Toal's nature reserve,
magnificent floating village, and fishermen's floating villages
of Choeng Koeng. On the way back, visit of the Siem Reap's big
market.
Day 9:
PHNOM PENH / SIHANOUKVILLE
The morning,
departure of Siem Reap by plane for Phnom Penh (45 min), then
departure by the road for Sihanoukville (Kompong Som) at about
4 hours of Phnom Penh. Sihanoukville has magnificent white sand
beaches, very clean, and it is the most important port of Cambodia.
Night in hotel near of the beach.
Day 10
: SIHANOUKVILLE /REAM PARK
Excursion
in Ream National park, magnificent park, with ballad by boat
and guided tours. Return to Sihanoukville, free end of afternoon
(beach for those that wish it).
Day 11:
SIHANOUKVILLE / KAMPOT/KEP
Departure
for Kampot by following the Gulf of Siam. Kampot is a city where
we finds French colonial architecture. Kampot region produces
a lot of tropical fruits. Excursion to Kep-On-Sea ( by following
the ocean), ancient seaside resort.
Day 12:
KAMPOT/ PHNOM PENH
Return
in Phnom Penh. On the way, visit of Phnom Chisor's temple ( temple
in bricks of the 11th century) situated on a hill where from
we has a very beautiful sight on the region. In Phnom Penh, visit
of the "Russian market", a market where we finds of
everything.
Day 13:
PHNOM PENH/ DEPART
Pursuit
of the visits of the capital, in particular the Vat Phnom . Transfer
to the airport 2h30 before the departure of your plane. |
